Despite the impressive cast and despite my genuine hope and expectation that this show would be exceedingly funny, for me, it just wasn't. I was truly disappointed. I just kept on finding it more and more not funny. There were definitely a few individual jokes here and there that made me laugh, but overall, it really let me down. To be fair, one one hand, this is the kind of show in which one episode can flop while the next is hilarious; the fact that I found this opening episode flat does not mean the next won't bust my gut. On the other hand, however, I found the show's permanent aspects to be the biggest problems, i.e. the writing, which was in that relatively new, cocky, I-know-I'm-SO-funny style of humor, and the host, Scott Aukerman, a.k.a. Stop Tacoman, who so perfectly personifies that writing. I can envision the self-satisfied writers believing they had created real gold, when in reality, this script is the stuff of fools. Better luck next time.
