A delusional ripoff
3 December 2020 | by lor_See all my reviews

Ambitiously lousy is the near-oxymoron that I would apply to this Adam & Eve porn parody, very poorly made by the "award-winning" and untalented team of Jeff Mullen (aka Will Ryder) and Scott David.

Proof of where they're coming from is a short subject of Jeff/Will at the keyboard, demonstrating how much work he put in to create the movie's musical score. He's extremely proud of himself, explaining in no uncertain terms the goal of ripping off the original music (in this case by Bill Conti as well as the Survivor hit "Eye of the Tiger") in such a way to remind fans of the original but change it around just enough to avoid a plagiarism lawsuit.

No such carefulness in the movie itself, which stupidly imitates scenes and styles from the first three Rocky movies, combined into a 2-hour steal.

Anthony Rosano, normally a good porn actor, does a very lousy job imitating Stallone in the title role, running up steps (L.A. rather than actually in Philly) and late in the movie punching a side of beef. Andy San Dimas is a bit better personifying Coppola's sister, while geriatric actor Jack English shouts his role hardly suggesting Burgess Meredith for a minute and Ron Jeremy proves once again he can't act as a third-rate Burt Young.

Mr. Marcus as Apollo Creed wears a silly toupee (a recurring stylistic failing of stylist/designer Scott David) and is only of interest humping, while Tyler Knight's version of Mr. T is one of his worst performances. Both actors deliver interracial sex, of course, shot with POV-camera technique.

Unsatisfactory package is completed with very lousy, if blessedly brief, boxing scenes. And to call this failed carbon copy a thriller??

A textbook example of what's basically wrong with the entire meretricious porn-parody genre.
