Ratings: ‘Better Late Than Never’ Premiere Wins at 10pm
Last night, NBC’s “Better Late Than Never” and ABC’s “Great Christmas Light Fight” duked it out in different time slots for the (very unofficial) title of top Monday premiere. A “Bachelor” special leading up to the dating competition’s new season didn’t quite stake much of a claim in the mini-battle. Thanks mostly to “The Voice,” NBC won primetime outright. ABC finished runner-up in the key 18-49 demographic, though CBS was No. 2 among total viewers. NBC was first in ratings with a 1.6 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.8 million,

'The Voice' Predictions: Which 4 Singers Will Be in the Finals?
The time has arrived on The Voice -- not to crown a winner, not yet anyway. No, the most brutal time in any Voice iteration has finally hit season 13. The cast of contestants is about to be cut in half again, moving from a Top 8 to a Top 4 in one fell swoop. The eliminations in season 13 have been a bit hard to nail down, but at this point in the competition, the frontrunners are becoming much clearer. This should, in theory, make the final artists evident, but let's dive in and predict them anyway. Here are my predictions for who will be competing in The Voice season 13 finals!

Charlie Brown vs. Rudolph: Here’s Who Won This Year’s Battle of the Classic Christmas Specials — Ratings Watch
Good grief! Christmas specials are in full swing, and the networks dusted off some of their biggest classics last week: ABC’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and CBS’ “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” In their inaugural 2017 runs, “Rudolph” (2.1 among adults 18-49) edged out “Charlie Brown” (1.8), giving a ratings edge to the reindeer with a very shiny nose.

“Rudolph,” which premiered in 1964, and “Charlie Brown,” which first bowed in 1965, are considered the key staples in a sea of primetime holiday specials, some of which have come and gone over the years. But both specials were overshadowed this year by a newcomer: “DreamWorks Trolls Holiday,” which averaged a 2.4 rating when it aired on Nov. 24, during the Thanksgiving weekend.

But there are plenty of caveats to all of this, since none of the specials actually faced off in the same time slot. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” performed respectably considering it aired in a tough Thursday 8 p.

Will & Grace Recap: Christmas Presence

Aw, Will & Grace! You shouldn’t have! Already this year, the revival had given us everything we could have hoped for (its existence) and more (its fabulousness). And on top of that, Tuesday it presented us with “A Gay Olde Christmas,” a holiday episode spiked with just enough optimistic perspective to add a little ho ho ho to our ha ha ha.

Did the luck of the Irish rub off on Saturday Night Live?

Ireland native Saoirse Ronan made her hosting debut this weekend in one of the better episodes of the still-young season, where she was joined by her fellow Irishmen U2. The two-time Oscar nominee, who is currently promoting the acclaimed indie film Lady Bird, even joked that she was hosting the St. Patrick’s Day episode of SNL — albeit a few months early.

Meet Mitch Rossell: What to Know About the Songwriter Sharing the CMAs Stage with Garth Brooks
Garth Brooks is still having to explain his lip-syncing on the Cma Awards, most recently on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. But it’s safe to say, if Brooks had his druthers, the focus would be on something else that happened on the awards stage that night: the fact that he was sharing the microphone – and the spotlight – with the young artist-songwriter who wrote the single he performed, “Ask Me How I Know.”

For the past three years, Brooks, 55, has championed Mitch Rossell’s career, encouraging his songwriting, giving him his first cut, taking him on tour as his regular opener,

Rita Ora’s Attempt to Prank a German Show Went Hilariously Wrong

Rita Ora really didn’t get the reaction she was expecting when she made an unexpected guest appearance on the German version of the hit TV show The Voice. The hit singer showed up on the German show to play a cameo and prank the four judges. Her wind up-ended in red faces and embarrassment for all involved, when the judges failed to recognise her. The joke went hilariously awry. For those who have never watched it, the premise of The Voice is that it is a blind talent competition. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ vs. ‘Young Sheldon’ vs. NFL Football: Everyone’s A Winner in Thursday Night Smackdown — Ratings Watch
It turns out there’s enough to go around ratings-wise on Thursday night. NBC has taken hold of the Thursday Night Football package, which it shares with CBS (both of whom simulcast with NFL Network), and its fortunes on the night have grown substantially. Now with two nights of NFL, plus staples like “This Is Us” and “The Voice,” NBC easily won the week ending November 12 in adults 18-49, and scored its first total viewers victory of the season.

But on Thursday nights, ABC and CBS also have reason to crow in the 8 p.m. hour: “Grey’s Anatomy,” which just hit its 300th episode, remains a potent force. And “Young Sheldon” is developing into a new hit behind “The Big Bang Theory.” (Also in the hour, Fox’s “Gotham” and The CW’s “Supernatural” also perform relatively respectably, although not nearly at the same level).

Later on Thursday, ABC

The Blacklist Ep Dissects That 'Bittersweet' Fall Finale Cliffhanger, Teases 'Harsh Truths' for Liz and Red
Warning: The following Q&A contains major spoilers for The Blacklist‘s Season 5 fall finale. Proceed with caution.

During its four previous seasons, The Blacklist put Tom Keen through the physical and emotional wringer time and again — and he somehow survived all of it.

Getting tortured and stabbed in the pilot episode? No problem. Tied up and left to waste away on a boat in Season 2? Piece of cake. Chased by assassins at his own Season 3 wedding? Bring. It. On. (He even survived the cancellation of his spinoff series, which is perhaps the most impressive of all.)

But Tom’s

‘This Is Us’ Takes Tuesday Demo Crown, While ‘NCIS’ Wins Popular Vote

CBS topped Tuesday in total viewers, taking every hour of primetime, kicking off the night with its most watched program NCIS (1.5, 12.94 million total viewers) at 8 Pm. NBC dominated in the demo thanks in largest measure to This Is Us, (2.6, 9.9M), which topped the night among 18-49 year olds, winning its 9 Pm slot by 117% against CBS' Bull (1.2, 10.39M). Bull blew past This Is Us in viewers. NBC’s 8 Pm singing competition The Voice (2.0, 9.89M) was the No. 2-ranked show…

The Walking Dead Recap: War-Torn

The Walking Dead Recap: War-Torn
Though Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead was the third in a row to feature almost non-stop smackdowns and shoot-’em-ups, battle fatigue and fatalities were beginning to be less of a concern than crises of conscience. In fact, the speed at which sides were forming (with Daryl, Morgan and Tara on Team Kill ’Em All, and Jesus, suddenly Rick and maybe Maggie on Team Live and Let Live) strongly suggested that, before the Saviors were vanquished, the allied forces would be fighting one another. Which characters wouldn’t still be around to see the conflict resolved? Read on…

Baseball Beats Football, At Least For One Week, As World Series Gives Papa John Another Reason To Whine — Ratings Watch
The World Series ended in heartbreak for the Los Angeles Dodgers — as the Houston Astros secured their first championship in club history — but it was a tremendous success for Fox. And for at least one week, baseball was once again America’s favorite pastime, dominating over the NFL.

According to Fox, the network averaged 18.9 viewers across all seven games, the second-best audience for a World Series since 2009. The series was down 19 percent from last year’s historic Chicago Cubs win, which also went to seven games (23.4 million), but it topped 2015 by 29 percent (14.7 million) and 2014 by 37 percent (13.8 million).

For the week ending Oct. 29, World Series Game 5 was the most-watched program, at 19.1 million viewers, and second only to “The Walking Dead” in adults 18-49. Among viewers, all five of the week’s World Series games (the final two will be reflected in next week’s ranker), beat the top NFL game of the week.

Blu-ray Review – The Voice of the Moon (1990)

The Voice of the Moon (La Voce Della Luna, 1990)

Directed by Federico Fellini

Starring Roberto Benigni, Paolo Villaggio, Nadia Ottaviani, Marisa Tomasi, Angelo Orlando, Syusy Blady

Synopsis:

A recently released patient from a mental hospital has a series of fantastic adventures amidst a surreal landscape while trying to win the affections of his love.

Federico Fellini’s last film is a jaw-dropping experience. Bringing together a surreal template of dream logic with wry humour and sardonic swipes at society, The Voice of the Moon – or in Italian, La Voce Della Luna – provides the magical realism and wonder of life that the Italian filmmaker is best known for.

Adapted from Ermanno Cavazzoni’s poetic novel, the story follows the recently released mental patient Ivo Salvini (Roberto Benigni, Life is Beautiful) as he navigates his way around a strange and compelling landscape. He encounters the entrancing Aldina (Nadia Ottaviani) by accident and falls in love immediately.

The Walking Dead Recap: War Games
Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead was almost wall-to-wall action, with various groups of Rick’s allied forces continuing their assault on the Saviors.
