Captures Any Audience
slfratan29 October 2014
With an epic love story that ties into the ups and downs an indie rock band, The Living Daylights, Mount Joy is able to captive any audience. When the bands manager Alex (Katie Hyde) also Sue's (Jay Della Valle) love interest, unexpectedly disappears, the nation-wide tour is put on hold. When Alex finally does return, she brings with her some life changing news. The featured soundtrack, consisting of music from the actors themselves, really brings the movie together and fits well with every scene. Mount Joy, also being filmed in Lancaster, PA, really captivates the area and all its beauty. I really enjoyed this film and would definitely recommend it to friends, family, and everyone in-between.

Great film

At first we were hesitant in watching this film, but I am glad we ended up watching this film. Showing some love from FT. MYERS BEACH, FL. We LOVED this movie! All the actors were on point. The audio was great. The screen/picture looked like any other movie. The soundtrack is awesome. It made you laugh, it made you cry which is what we were looking for in tonight's movie. It made you think the writers were going in one way with the story, but totally surprises you in the end. Great movie!!! You definitely won our vote for best feature film here on the beach. We definitely would watch this movie again. Congrats!Bravo!! Two Thumbs UP!

Worth it for the cinematography alone, but so much more...

Against the backdrop of a perfect summer in Lancaster County, PA, Lewars weaves a story of a spirited love gone awry for reasons unknown. The pieces of Everyman's life come together and apart despite the efforts of a close-knit group of friends to elevate him to his Rock and Roll destiny. From a visceral and visual and emotional standpoint, there are few finales as poignant as the final scenes of Mount Joy. The acting was precise and honest. The writing, unlike most films, was natural and true to how normal people talk to one another. The cinematography and direction and coloring were superb. I felt as if I was watching a home movie of my early 20s, but as an amply-budgeted Hollywood film. It is surely worth viewing.
