Sex & Nudity

  • A scene in which a rare female deer with golden fur is mortally wounded by an arrow, transforms into its original naked human form. The woman is shown from the chest up and her breasts are covered by her right arm clutching the arrow in her left side. The grieving hunter leans over her and his robe covers most of her body. Her lower back and hip is visible as he cradles her dying form. Approximately one minute and in non-sexual context. -PG-13
  • Low cleavage is present on the female lead throughout the film, and on other female characters. -PG
  • A couple kiss each other in greeting, but they are pulled apart by their friends. -G
  • A fully-clothed couple kiss passionately in a bedroom. The man lifts the woman and places her on the bed. They kiss for a little while but she stops him and they talk for the rest of the scene. -PG
  • A couple kisses at the end of the movie, an elder man is watching them. -G

Violence & Gore

  • The beast goes wild and hunts down a wild boar. He kills it off screen but there is plenty of roaring and squealing heard. The beast then carries it back to his quarters and messily devours it as Belle hides and watches in horror. PG-13
  • A person is crushed by falling boulders. Another person is surrounded by spindly vines which grow all over him before crushing him to death as he screams in horror. -PG-13
  • The film contains a scene of violence where blood briefly trickles down the neck of the female lead when a knife held to her throat by the antagonist, cuts her. -PG
  • A rare female deer with golden fur, gets wounded by an arrow from the man who shot her and she transforms back into a naked woman. Some blood is shown. (She was pregnant) Very emotional and sad. -PG-13
  • A villain gets struck across the face and blood is shown, but it is minimal. -PG

Profanity

  • Mild cussing including the use of "Damn", "Hell", and "Bloody" perhaps two or three instances of profanity overall. -PG

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a scene in a bar, with some alcohol consumption shown, near the beginning of the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Belle's father picks a rose. Suddenly a giant's head bursts out of the forestry and roars at him. The beast then tackles the father and threatens to kill him with his claws. -PG
  • Near the beginning of the film, the father figure goes into a bar searching for his son. Men his son owes money to advance upon the mention of his name. The moment is brief and is resolved quickly, but might produce stress in younger children. -PG

Violence & Gore

  • In another scene, a giant grabs a thief and throws him into the ground so hard that only his arms and legs are shown sticking out of the earth. Another giant crushes some of the villains under its feet, but there is minimal depiction of blood or injuries. -PG
  • A villain stabs the beast with a golden arrow and the beast is on the verge of dying. -PG
