Michelle identifies the Spanish-style building in her painting as being on "Main Street, in Seal Beach". Actually, although it is indeed Seal Beach, California, the building (which is the Seal Beach City Hall) is located on 8th Street (one street to the west of Main Street). Since she's supposed to have lived in the town for years, it's unlikely she'd make that mistake. See more »

Great Movie !
17 March 2015 | by Dee LaurieSee all my reviews

If you are a logical person with a big heart (not mushy - kiss kiss type big heart type I meant though), this is a great movie to watch. I even had a bit of a tear at the very end. I think the head master of the college could of practiced his lines with a bit more confidence but you really do not see a lot of him, other than that, every one did an excellent job for the director. I spend a lot of time on IMDb and given I have never heard of this movie or even saw any advertisement of it anywhere...just ran into it out of great Irish Luck; my point is this is my first review ever, and I do not really see the point of doing reviews until this movie. Why? I just think it didn't get noticed, again, lack of advertisement? If anyone has anything bad to say about this movie, I say the person didn't watch the entire movie. Yes, the first so-and-so minutes of the movie drags a bit but then there is a wonderful explosion of art by the director and actors towards the last half of the movie, which I find is best for all the great movies I ever watched. There are lots of metaphors of the movie in the art gallery that I remembered at the end of the movie that I found really satisfying as well! I really really wish I never saw this movie just so I can run into it again and watch it for the first time again. So watch this movie VERY carefully, its one of those movies you watch again the next day because you think, WOW, there was a lot the director put into the beginning hinting at things for that explosion of art at the end. Nope, I do not think I got carried away by this review! :) Have a great watch!
