    • Trivia
Bill Herndon (Judd Hirsch) refers to Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) as "Legally Brunette." This is a reference to Reese Witherspoon's movie, "Legally Blonde." Ellen Parson's only client in this season of Damages is Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband of 8 years.
    • Goofs
When Joe Scully follows Ellen into her office building (starts at 19:34), Ellen is wearing brown, wide-legged trousers. When she enters her conference room a few seconds later, she is wearing a gray skirt. When she walks out on the roof a few seconds after that, she is again wearing the trousers. A day or two later (at around 58 mins), Ellen is wearing the exact same outfit she wore in the conference room - gray skirt, brown blouse, dark jacket.

    Into the Home Stretch
More foundation. Both women are venomous. If Ellen takes over, there will be one less cobra, but a new snake in town. This delves into several issues. Ellen's father, Gordon Clapp, takes on the role that Patty's father did in her relationship. He is vicious and Ellen faces off against him. The parallels are almost too striking. Ellen hunts down the man who tried to kill her. He is set to do it again, but we see what happens. Anything to win. No matter what the cost! We go back to the meeting in Rome that led to McClaren's case. We see how the information was manipulated. And, there is a wonderful scene in Patty's office. The meeting before the trial. Ellen has reason to be more sure of herself than ever before. Let's see how they finish this.
