The career of a journalist couple, Kasra and Forough is endangered in the aftermath of political and social changes, which have led to the closure of many Iranians journals. They publish a cultural-literary weekly magazine titled Farhang-e Fakhteh, however they are facing several problems which discourage them to carry on the job. Shortly after wards, such difficulties put them on the verge of bankruptcy, but a proposal made by a foreign institute transforms their life.
Kasra, a film journalist, and his wife face the collapse of their publication due to political, financial and legal troubles. In despair that their once-flourishing office is now little more than a store room, the couple seek a way to save their business. Their luck seems to change when a generous offer is made by the mysterious legal department head of a Swedish company. Worried about the repercussions of receiving foreign aid, the couple prepares to travel abroad to collect the funds. An intimate portrait of how social change affects the lives of even those who eschew politics. This suspenseful drama is a touching look at a couple's determination to save their livelihood.
