Goofs

The movie seems to be set sometime between 1885 and 1889. While a motorcycle powered by an internal combustion engine was invented in 1885, Mr. Luteau's machine seems to be a design from 1895 at the very earliest. See more »

Victor: [watching Felicie dance around the Irish bar] Wow!
[Love-struck, he tosses her a rose. Felicie reaches up to catch it, but loses her balance and falls onto a table. Merante, who was seated nearby, stands up and removes his hat. Felicie gasps in fear]
Mérante: [sternly] I hope that tomorrow you act with a little more dignity.

Ballerina is a great animation film
26 May 2017 | by Joe YabukiSee all my reviews

Ballerina is a great french-Canadian animation film about 2 waifs who escape their orphanage and go to Paris to reach their dreams & never give up, Félicie (Elle Fanning) with a passion a natural talent for dance & Victor (Dane Dehaan) an inventor. Beautiful music, landscapes & sceneries, a Belle Époque tale that involves the construction of the Eiffel Tower & the Statue of Liberty. A kindly maid & a distinguished professor manage her to succeed. A movie for the whole family.
