I saw this at Tribeca last summer, and I loved it!
Cat Cohen is amazing. I didn't know a lot about her before this, but after I left the theatre I did a deep dive -she's amazing! Every time the camera cuts to her she's doing something interesting. Aristotle Atari is great, too, he has really good comic timing. In fact, this movie is filled with interesting, funny actors.
There are a ton of great one liners. My girlfriend and I have been quoting this movie ever since.
There's also a couple of twists at the end that really got me, too. I don't want to spoil anything, but I thought the story, the directing, and the acting were all great. Would recommend!

This movie was SO much fun. It was really heartwarming in a big surprising way. I really related to the New York of it all. The city felt alive along with the characters who were flawed but in all the ways that makes you root for them. I've followed the director's work for a while and am always so impressed by how they push the comedy while also making sure it still feels grounded, genuine and surprising. Rachel is a real talent! This film is super special and I just love a good, cool, nuanced rom-com. Those are so hard to come by these days. More comedies and romances pleaseeeeeee! Watch this wherever you can!

Cat Cohen & Aristotle Athari do an hilarious parody of community theater makers with delusions of grandeur. The red haired Ruby McCollister is like a little devil on their shoulder, leading them into bad ideas. The way people talk in this movie feels like I'm hanging out with my real friends, clowning on each other. It's so colorful & stylish! I love the outfits. This film was exactly what I needed on the night I watched it. Quality film making with a heart and funnier than I thought it would be. I feel like I haven't seen a movie this good since the wave of excellent Indie films in the early 2000s. Highly recommend! Very enjoyable and I look forward to re-watching when it comes out on streaming.
This movie was one of the funniest, most heartwarming, romantic comedies of the year. It's a true New York story that embodies the reality of young professionals, their relationships, their worries, their dreams, their faults and their triumphs. I can't wait to see it again. Miranda Kahn's detail oriented production and Rachel Wolter's vision came to life in the most relatable way. For anyone in a long term relationship or a lived with a partner during COVID will see themselves in nearly every scene. Laugh out loud funny and full of heart. The romantic comedy genre hasn't seen a come back this strong in ages.
