Sex & Nudity

  • there is one scene around minute 28 of a dead woman top less , not sensual .they show her later again .

Violence & Gore

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Cigarette smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film contains a constant sense of danger as a family is stalked by a rogue wolf. It is graphically violent, thought-provoking and has a viciously shocking ending. For my fellow animal lovers, be advised that several are killed throughout the film (offscreen) which may be upsetting.
  • The last act is intense and disturbing well beyond an R rating. Not for the faint of heart.

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A man discovers several dead women deep in the woods. Some of these women are naked and rape is heavily implied. A young girl is killed offscreen, but rape is implied here as well.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is strung up in a shed and skinned alive by the main protagonist. She cuts into his skin and removes it from his body in extremely graphic detail. The scene ends with his face being literally ripped off. We see his fully skinned body; muscles exposed and eyes still twitching.
  • Several animals are killed throughout the film. The family dog is presumably killed offscreen by a wolf. We do not see the actual killing and its body is very briefly shown. A fawn is shot for food and butchered. We see this in brief, but graphic detail. Although we see the skinning, the killing is not shown. A rabbit is also killed for food offscreen, however we can hear its neck being snapped.
