A group of horror fans are found scared to death in front of a drive-in movie screen. Whatever they saw, also bled into their screens on their mobile devices. We go back 24 hours to follow two of the characters from this group. Lola and Carrie go on a road trip to attend this Halloween screening event. It's being held at an old disused drive-in movie theater. They also research the past reports about the drive-in. It's haunted! People died in front of the screen in the 70s. This event is the 40th anniversary of the deaths. Despite this fact, nothing will stop Lola and Carrie from attending. They want to see what is on the screen. Written by Anonymous

Alonso does her best with this improv student film
17 April 2015 | by freemanpatrick7See all my reviews

The sporadic neurotic editing looks like an interrupted high school project. Not sure why they didn't bother with color correcting. I get that it's supposed to be found footage but it all looks pretty bland.

12 minutes in and so far nothing has happened. The dialog seems completely improvised.

The shaky camera is giving me a headache.

28 minutes in, still nothing has happened. So far, it looks like a cheap rip off of Blair Witch.

OK 31 minutes we're finally at the drive-in.

The car is cool. But it's a Firebird...by Pontiac. Yet the song is singing about Dodge Charger. Is that supposed to be a music montage or are they just bored and trying to make a short film into a feature?

Yeah, who didn't see the lesbian scene coming a mile away?

For the most part the music is pretty cool, very appropriate.

43 minutes in and still not one damn thing has happened.

The problem with improvised dialog is that it sounds stupid, random stupid thoughts expressed out loud.

Example of actual dialog:

Question: "What'd you guys think about those creepy guys in the masks?"

Answer: "Those guys were so creepy."

At this point, 50 minutes, we're in a car with some girls. What girls? Who knows? They never tell us that? What happened to Lola and Carrie, the two leads? We don't know that either.

Oh, wait, shake the camera and scream! Oh, so this is supposed to be a horror film?

The Blue Collar Comedy team should watch this, it might inspire some good material. Drunken hillbillies arguing in a motor home. Priceless.

58 minutes in and still nothing has happened.

The so-called jump scares are all given away by the terrible camera work. The actress screams before you can even see what's scaring her.

There's no logical reason or explanation for anything that anyone does. With the exception of Lola, who agreed to go on the trip to get away from her drunk dad for a while. Other than that, the rest of the cast ambles around with no other motivation than that's what the director told them to do.

The film is neither logical, impressive or even scary. It's poorly written, poorly directed and poorly produced.

This could have been a 10 minute short film and it would have been much more effective, not good, per se, but not as bad. Instead it's just boring.

However, in the midst of all that Nicole Alonso shines as the one bright star. This lady knocks it out of the park every time she's up to bat. I can't wait to see what she does next.
