For an 8 minute short it does a nice job building up tension on a familiar trope that easily could have fallen flat. There is no wasted motion or dialogue here and it feels like a genuine situation many parents find themselves in with their children.
The short introduces its own bit of works building or mythology as well. And the actors were all very convincing in their roles.
Stylistically this was well done. Although, I imagine with a bigger budget the "reveal" could have been a bit more.
Overall, this is one of the better shorts from this series and feels like it could be built into a longer movie.
