Storyline

Im Santana is a comedy/drama based on the popular Internet puppet Santana who battles himself and others to cope with the social ills of his community and his love for Janice.

Janice neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Santana, turning his normally tranquil life upside down. The movie comically brings to life the institutions of Domestic Violence, kidnapping and infidelity and how it plays out in the struggles of the day-to-day lives of this Caribbean grassroots Diaspora.

I loved it!!

If you followed the videos on Youtube as closely as I did, the movie picks up right as Janice was living with Pastor Stewart. It really was super funny...and I can't wait until the next movie. :) I highly recommend it for all my fellow West Indian people who love a good laugh. Although, I felt it could have been longer, the quality of the movie was excellent {considering it is an independent movie from the Caribbean} and really stayed true to the culture of Trinidad. We saw it in Harlem, and it was the last screening. I waited a long time to see it, and was glad they released it in America. I would have easily bought the DVD, if not. I would not recommend this movie for small children, anybody 13 and over would enjoy, especially if you saw the Youtube videos.
