Storyline

The art of getting women just seems to evade some guys. And in this case it's Truman, Fitch & Ryan. Armed with "Fitch's 32 Rules to Get Women", these complete and utter dorks set out to attract the ladies of their dreams. Truman has loved Beth for as long as he can remember. But she's the hot girl in school, and he's the kind of guy the jocks shove into lockers. Can these three figure out a way to get Beth to notice Truman? Their clumsy attempts will take them through a myriad of awkwardly funny moments that will either unlock the secret to any woman's heart, or label them losers for the rest of their lives. Sweet and funny
26 March 2012 | by riggsdpSee all my reviews

Totally didn't expect to like this film but it is sweet and funny at the same time. I even liked the filming technique which made it look more like a home movie. So often we don't take a chance at love because of our fears and sometimes, when we do, it is worth it. When these three young men take that chance, even when they make a fool of themselves, they keep on trying. Fitch's sincerity and dedication to helping out his friend even when nothing is working keeps you cheering him on (even though he's in the exact same situation). It could have done without the first marshmallow scene, but it also sets you up to know just how awkward these kids are. You won't feel awkward taking your younger teens to the movie as it contains no swearing or sexual references. A refreshing change in today's world.
