'Yevadu' biggest hit of our banner: Dil Raju

Hyderabad, Jan 13: Producer Dil Raju, who is ecstatic with the response to his Telugu action-thriller "Yevadu", said Monday that the film has turned out to be the biggest hit of his banner despite having a delayed release.

Raju has so far produced 16 films, including hits like "Bommarillu", "Dil" and "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

"Despite being postponed so many times, I'm extremely happy that our film has turned out to be a blockbuster. It has turned out to be the biggest hit of our banner which has so far produced 16 films," Raju told reporters here.

Ram Charan, Venkatesh to work together

Chennai, Nov 1: Actors Ram Charan Teja and Venkatesh Daggubati will team up for upcoming untitled Telugu multi-starrer to be helmed by Krishna Vamsi.

"I think this is my Diwali gift and I would like to thank both my heroes for giving me an opportunity to work with them. We are planning to go on floors as soon as Venkatesh wraps up work on his current project," the film's producer Bandla Ganesh told Ians.

This will be Venkatesh's third multi-starrer. His previous two were Telugu blockbuster "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" and soon to release "Masala", Telugu remake of "Bol Bachchan".

Dil Raju's lucky number eleven

Chennai, Oct 10: Producer Dil Raju, who considers number eleven lucky, says he likes to take certain sentiments seriously. Therefore, he is releasing Junior Ntr-starrer Telugu action-drama "Ramayya Vasthavayya" Oct 11.

"Some sentiments need to be taken seriously because they might work in your favour. I consider number eleven very lucky for me as my last film 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' (Svsc), which also released on eleventh of a different month, went on to be a blockbuster. I'm releasing 'Ramayya Vasthavayya' on the same day for the same reason," Raju told Ians.

"1: Nenokkadine" will hit the screens Jan 10 next year, confirmed the production house 14 Reels Entertainment on its Twitter page.

Chennai, Feb 12: Multi-starrers are in vogue again. Buoyed by the overwhelming success of Telugu family drama "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (Svsc)", several more Telugu multi-starrers are in the offing with filmmakers hoping to cash in on the trend.

Director Srikanth Addala teamed up with two leading stars, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, in Svsc, which released last month. The movie spelt profits for producer Dil Raju as the family drama reportedly earned about Rs.50 crore in two weeks of its release.

Chennai, Jan 19: The Telugu film industry couldn't have asked for a better start to the year as both the Pongal releases "Naayak" and "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (Svsc) have gone on to be superhits and money-spinners at the box office.

"The Telugu Pongal releases have gone on to be successful at the box-office. While 'Naayak' registered Rs.29.45 crore in opening four days, Svsc collected Rs.24.32 crore in four days," trade analyst Trinath told Ians.

"Both the films did good business in the overseas market too. In its opening weekend in the Us, Svsc collected Rs.6.87 crore and 'Naayak' collected Rs.2.11 crore," he added.
