Legacy: Green Arrow Comic Canon vs CW Arrow

Let's talk about legacy.

Usually, when talking about the legacy of something you must take into consideration impact, interaction with fans, and medium.

Because varying elements under either these categories can drastically change the legacy of a person, show, movie, etc.

If a show had a huge impact that caused a lot of buzz amongst the news world had horrible interactions with fans and/or alienates them, then their legacy would be largely affected by this fan interaction.

Or if an adaptation occurs across mediums that severs the connection to a previous medium that acts as source material that also affects the way its legacy gets interpreted, whether good or bad.

This is the case with CW Arrow and its source material, the Green Arrow comics.

The idea of legacy has been brought up recently, regarding the legacies or both mediums and whether they should be singularly integrated in one

Arrowverse Stars Discuss The Difficulties Of Shooting Crossovers

While we’re all gearing up for the next big Arrowverse crossover that’s set to introduce Batwoman, it can be easy to forget how much planning goes into a massive undertaking such as this. I mean, it requires the combined efforts of people working on four separate television shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow – to make it a reality. Each may share some of the same producers, sure, but that makes the task no less difficult.

So, as autumn inches ever closer, there are those who are prepared to not get as much sleep as they’d like, chief among them being actresses such as Candice Patton and Caity Lotz. Now having several of these rodeos behind them, the two ladies spoke of the challenges that accompany filming these crossovers while appearing at a panel hosted by The Young Folks.

Here’s a transcript of that discussion:

Patton: “It is confusing,

The Flash’s Candice Patton Hopes Iris Will Meet Black Siren

Of the many things making the Arrowverse awesome, one element that keeps viewers coming back for more is that of the crossovers. As is the case in comics, animation and cinema, many fans love seeing their favorite characters meeting under exciting circumstances.

Having been the first show to spinoff from Arrow, The Flash sure has seen its share of mashups over the years. In fact, those two series joined forces for the first few crossovers attempted in this continuity, thus looking like a logistical cakewalk when compared to the massive undertakings we now enjoy each fall.

Of course, we’ve also been witness to smaller meetings here and there, such as when John Diggle experienced yet another rendezvous with Team Flash not long ago. And if actress Candice Patton has her way, a different resident of Star City will soon cross paths with Iris West.

The CW Reveals Its Arrowverse-Filled Fall Premiere Dates

Though The CW has some good content to take in over the summer, we’re not going to lie when it comes to saying that fall can’t get here soon enough. And if you’re also a fan of the Arrowverse or an unrelated show such as Supernatural, then you may very well agree with that statement.

That said, it’s satisfying to be the bearer or good news now that the network has mapped out its autumn 2018 schedule, which is home to a myriad of returning favorites such as Supergirl, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Black Lightning, some of which we recently learned will be relocating to different nights of the week. Regardless, we’re still eager to tune in.

So, as you begin to take in the new status quo, you’ll no doubt notice how the following premiere dates are sprinkled throughout October, as

The CW Sets Fall Premiere Dates for Charmed, Riverdale & More!

The CW Sets Fall Premiere Dates for Charmed, Riverdale & More!
The CW is the second network out of the gate to confirm when its fall schedule will kick off, and as usual, they are sticking to an October rollout.

The most surprising thing about the schedule is that Charmed is debuting Sunday, October 14. The better scenario would have involved premiering it one week earlier which would mark exactly 20 years since the original series kicked off. There has been a backlash as far as the new series is concerned, but it's still odd that the network is not capitalizing on the anniversary to launch the new iteration.

The network's Tuesday line-up returns first, debuting October 9 with The Flash and Black Lightning. Tuesdays will likely emerge as one of The CW's stronger nights.

The CW's other highly anticipated series, All American, will launch alongside the return of Riverdale on Wednesday, October 10.
