Took me three sittings...but I finally managed to watch/complete/endure/survive this abomination.
The cast are probably the worst actors ever (zero emotion and non existent line delivery) Every (bad) black stereotype is on full display here (perma-scowling obese black women, replete with false nails and bad weaves...tooth-sucking whilst snapping their fingers admist moment of spontaneous dancing/twerking) and the men are equally useless (think Robert Townsend's 'Black Acting School' skit from 'Hollywood Shuffle'...mixed with Dave Chappell 'Tyrone Biggums' character)
I'm baffled as to why (in 2023) the people behind this are so mentally/socially backward, lacking basic cohesion ...and under the assumption that audiences (are as equally backward) and want long, protracted, meandering, ebonic-strewn third word dialogue (that makes up around 90% of this movie) This isn't even a black and white issue...the people behind this seem completely 'alien' to the most basic behavioural norms (despite the fact that they all seem to be American citizens?)
Seriously...I've seen 'Nollywood' movies, where the cast and crew seem more westernized/rational/coherent than the people behind this car crash?
And because it's so jaw-droppingly bad...I recommend this to all Bad-Movie buffs.
Neil Breen has some new competition methinks?

Ear-lina, never do this again. Black women portrayed in the worst context. Auntie messing up lines . Terrible blocking in scenes. Dude saying ''am-u-lance.'' Scarb ebonics. The main character falling out her clothes. Hair and nails never changing over months. Flaky lace-fronts. I cried laughing when ol girl said ''WE WENT TO THE CONSURT ...THIS WEEKEND..INALANA.'' The female detective looking at the camera was hilariously bad. Every time a woman mentioned drinking, promiscuity, or any other negative character trait, a gospel song would play. Tonality wrong af. Got black women looking and sounding like clowns. This has stage play published for screen written all over it.

This great cinematographic work shows me that this incredible production, with a quality script and incredible actors is one of the best films of the 21st century, this production explains very complex topics for the general public.
This incredible work of art by director Marquand Ragland shows me thanks to this as his previous works that he is the best director of modern cinema and his works deserve to be seen all over the world, in conclusion, Rainey Storms (2023) an undervalued work of cinema that is only suitable for people who know about cinematography and do not settle for the basic cinema.
