In his opening monologue, Red accepts a scroll from Los Angeles County Supervisor Leonard Rose designating Red as the Father of the Year. Red also tells one of his earliest TV Gertrude and Heathcliffe seagull gags. The Skelton Scrapbook skit, titled "Tornado Deadeye" features the crooked cowboy creating havoc in a western saloon.
