While the Dceu may have been struggling to come up with an exceptional film that the fans could rally behind, the folks over at the Dcau were bringing some of the most amazing stories from the pages of DC Comics to life via animations.
Among the plethora of movies from the cinematic universe, the story of Batman from his story arc Batman: The Long Halloween sticks with the audience.

While Batman Beyond was a phenomenon upon its release, lauded as one of the best Batman stories told onscreen, the creators never really expanded on it after its initial run. Even 25 years after its debut, Return of the Joker remains its only feature film, which failed to make it big during its DVD release for being too dark for kids.
However, per Bruce Timm’s long-time collaborator Butch Lukic, there were once talks about revisiting Terry McGinnis’ story, but unfortunately, the idea never took off the ground.

These days Marvel has been doing a pretty poor job of making films, before 2019 the franchise was a powerhouse, constantly delivering cinematic entertainment, with smash-hit box office records; all along with narrating a captivating superhero tale. However, the franchise has faced a steady decline in its popularity because after Avengers: Endgame, only a few films have marked a lasting impact in the minds of its viewers.
Batman and Catwoman in Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One
Nevertheless, the franchise should learn from their rivals, DC as Butch Lukic, the producer of Batman: The Long Halloween shares how they all agreed to come up with the idea of adapting the storyline of The Long Halloween. The film was a massive success, featuring Jensen Ackles lending as the voice behind Bruce Wayne/ Batman in the fan-favorite animated film.

Though they've made a fraction of the box office of even the worst DC live-action movie, creatively the crown jewel of DC Comics adaptations lies in their animated movies. It's through animation that the potential of comic book adaptations really shines. Ever since "Superman: Doomsday" was released in 2007, we've had movies that faithfully adapt popular comics storylines (rather than just borrow the name for brand recognition and throw the rest away), original films with wild concepts, and even movies that build on continuity like the biggest cinematic universes.
This is one of the most interesting aspects of the DC animated movies, because there are two proper continuities, each building up characters and storylines and exploring giant crossovers in a way DC has not come even close to figuring out in live-action.
Given how little resources Warner Bros. have used to properly market this universe or make sure audiences are aware of its continuity,...

Speaking with Slash Film, David Dastmalchian said his campaign to become the next Bond baddie is officially in motion. “Whoever is reading this, take it as a sign. You were meant to be reading this line at this moment as you’re thinking about the future of what you guys are doing with the franchise. Trust me when I say that I can bring something to an enemy of 007, whether he or she or they be played in a way that no one has ever seen Bond brought to life before, which is of course the way that you guys always do it. Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Spooky Pictures have teamed up to produce the horror film Late Night With the Devil, headed up by the Australian writing and directing duo of Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres) and starring David Dastmalchian – whose previous credits include The Boogeyman and The Suicide Squad. The film is currently making the festival rounds, and while it’s not yet known when a wider audience will have a chance to see it, our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on a poster for it. With the new DC Universe taking shape, we’re due to meet fresh versions of classic heroes, including the Dark Knight in The Brave and the Bold. It remains to be seen who will play Batman in the new movie, but Jensen Ackles is ready to take on the role.
There have been rumours that Jensen Ackles might be in the running to play Batman in The Bold and the Brave, and the actor addressed them while speaking at the Jus In Bello Convention in Italy. “Uh, I don’t know. Burbank, CA – One of the Man of Steel’s most personal tales in DC history – from the mind of comics icon Grant Morrison, and produced under the expert oversight of animation legends Bruce Timm and Dwayne McDuffie – All-Star Superman will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD for the very first time on April 18, 2023 from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
Grant Morrison’s beloved, Eisner Award-winning vision of Superman’s heroic final days on Earth is brought to exquisite, animated life in All-Star Superman. The film begins as the Man of Steel rescues an ill-fated mission to the Sun (sabotaged by Lex Luthor) but, in the process, is oversaturated by radiation – which accelerates his cell degeneration. Sensing even he will be unable to cheat death, Superman ventures into new realms – finally revealing his secret to Lois, confronting Lex Luthor’s perspective of humanity, and attempting to ensure Earth’s...

Character actor David Dastmalchian, who may be best known these days for playing Polka-Dot Man in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, has launched a production company called Good Fiend Films, with the intention being to “produce character-driven projects across horror, sci-fi and fantasy for film, television, audio and publishing.” According to Deadline, Dastmalchian “envisions his shingle as a home for stories about complex characters from all walks of life. Good Fiend Films will aim to generate nostalgic, entertaining content that captivates audiences while reminding them they’re not alone in this scary world.“
Although the Good Fiend Films announcement is new, the first movie on the company’s slate is one we first heard about eight months ago: the 1977-set horror film Late Night With the Devil, which is coming to us from the Australian writing and directing duo of Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres). Spoilers ahead for "The Batman."
It's time to delve even deeper into Gotham City's crime-ridden underbelly. As you may have heard, we're getting a Penguin-based limited series from HBO Max as a spin-off of the Warner Bros. film "The Batman." Colin Farrell will reprise the role of Oswald Cobblepot in the series that will begin about a week after the film ended. Since the finale of "The Batman" had Gotham flooded and the criminal element left without a leader, things are likely going to be chaotic. Batman (Robert Pattinson) may have helped to save the day, but the aftermath of an event like that is going to shake things up and leave open a lot of avenues for crime to rear its ugly head again.

Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons marks a couple of firsts, although they’ve had several print team-ups and their own comic, it’s the first on-screen pairing of the sons of DC’s biggest superheroes. It’s also the first of DC’s animated films to be completely done by computer, using the same styling as Marvel’s “What If” series.
It opens with a pre-credits recap of how Superman came to Earth, only with one small addition, which may seem puzzling, but will be explained later in the film. That’s followed by what is basically another origin story, that of Superboy, aka Jonathan Kent the son of Superman, and Lois Lane.
