I'm glad I gave this a shot. It's well produced and very well acted. The story is bizarre, but inventive and not impossible. Within its bounds, the plotting and writing is very good, with all the action holding together. That alone is an achievement these days.
A black comedy, exactly as advertised - and a pretty good one too.

Honestly I found it a nice break from the usual morally upright standing movies to see what people can be like sometimes when pushed pass a cetrain point and begin to spiral. Loved Danny McBride in this. His best I think.
I wasn't expecting much going into this movie, but I was ultimately pleased with it overall. Danny McBride is hilarious as the angry kidnapping client, and Rosemarie DeWitt is great as the real estate agent who is kidnapped. If you're a fan of dark humor, give it a chance. There's some hilariously shocking scenes that will have you gasping, which will be followed by a burst of laughter. Watching McBride's character dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole throughout the film was surprisingly entertaining and funny. I gave it a 6/10 because the ending is weak. I don't think I'll ever give it a second watch, but I still enjoyed it overall. All in all it's just a silly, dark comedy thriller worth a watch.

Didn't come in expecting much from this movie, but it seemed to be a well executed dark comedy that didn't take itself too seriously and for the most part kept a proper balance with being the right amount of absurd. Not a fan of Danny McBride in general, but he was the proper casting choice for this role.

This film tells the story of a disgruntled man who goes to the estate agent to complain about his house purchase. Things soon spiral out of control.
The plot is actually very suspenseful, and I just could not figure out how it's going to end. It is engaging and captivating. It is great to see many famous faces in it as well. It exceeded all my expectations, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

This movie keeps you watching. It's not boring and a waste of time like so many others. It's easy to watch and understand. I liked it.
This is one of those "A Simple Plan" type scenarios where an accident escalates into a heinous catastrophe over the course of a bunch of small steps. It's just not nearly funny or clever enough. It all feels very forced and amateurish and is exhausting by the end.

Cast does a good job. If you tend to like Danny McBride, you'll probably like this.
The movie had a good start, nice setting and is generally well made and has good acting, but the last third was a bit weak...not horroble but no masterpiece either.

It's a dark comedy but it's a bit too dark for me. I started off laughing and loved how quirky it was, but I did get a bit bored I have to admit. I'd definitely say it's worth watching if you like dark comedies, but if you're not into that kind of thing normally then I wouldn't recommend it. It's not something I'd normally watch. It's different though so I can't score it lower than a 6 as I do like the originality of it and the acting is really good.

Has the movie industry lost the art of story telling?
Same plot as other chase the victim films that have been made before. The only comedy is the film overall...
Come on Hollywood! Make some decent movies please.

I only made it 40 minutes in to this film. Part of that's because it's dull. Part of tha's because I wasn't sure if the domestic abuse was supposed to be funny or not. Which is a weird question to be asking yourself really.

Is it a comedy? No. Ok, maybe a black comedy. Is it a suspense? No. Although it does have suspenseful scenes. Is it scary? In a way.
It's hard to put one label on this film. You start out thinking that it's a comedy because of who's in it, but when a man is hanging from a ceiling fan, you quickly realize it's at least a little more. Soon you realize that even though you may have laughed or at least been amused a few times, there's something scary about this film. Add a couple more kills and a few more laughs and you're rooting for the co-lead to escape her danger and it's a little thrilling. If that was it, you could say this movie was entertaining but there's more. Something deeper. The movie is dramatic in the sense that it hints at the absurdities of the American dream. People have been sold lake front property in Arizona, and when they realize there's no lake, they've lost their cool. It also takes humorous shots at our modern day attention span, and the way teenagers treat their parents. The whole time, the actors do a good job of bringing it all together.
All in all, this movie is well worth seeing. Despite negative reviews, this movie is a possible future cult classic that I'm happy to have seen.

Plot line was really dumb. All this movie had in it was indiscriminate killing. The killer never reloaded his weapon even after firing way more than 6 shots. Completely unbelievable...the only reason I watched the movie was because I was hoping for some comedy which never happened. I was way disappointed...

I watched this because of the trailer. It looked dark, stupid and funny. I thought it would be enjoyable. The first half of the movie is consistent with what I expected from the trailer. Not the second half. I didn't ask myself from the outset how the movie should end, and the second half just feels like the director is trying to get to a conclusion, but it's just violent, doesn't make any sense, and, most importantly, absolutely not funny nor enjoyable. Almost felt like 2 different movies. Bottom line, I wish I hadn't wasted my time with this. Just watch the trailer and stop there.

The amount of people that hate this movie is just staggering as I thought Arizona deserves a much higher rating. I know there are alot of people with no sense of humor at all and it seems they all watched this movie and felt the urge to review it afterwards. Arizona is a dark comedy, and a good one. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong. It simply starts with an accident and escalates quickly into a murdering spree. The cast is great for this movie. All good funny comedians that made me laugh alot in the past. Some have only small parts like Seth Rogen and Kaitlin Olson (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia) but even in their short appearance they made me laugh. Danny McBride and Rosemarie DeWitt play the major characters and they did a good job. Danny McBride (from Vice Principals) has just one of those funny faces, he'll make me laugh in a blink. The story is very easy to follow, it's dark and funny, and very entertaining. I honestly can't understand what people don't find entertaining in this movie.
