I was blown away by this series from the very first moment-it completely captivated me.
It's not your typical religious story, and I'd especially recommend it if you're not religious yourself.
The plot serves as a metaphor for all of humanity. It follows Modesta, a little girl with a childhood no one should ever have to endure, as she embarks on a journey to discover the meaning of life. Raised among nuns, she encounters plenty of hypocrisy, but also finds genuine believers-true friends and fierce enemies alike. Along the way, she must decide what she's willing to sacrifice for her own selfish desires and whether she can control her anger. Eventually, she arrives at a place where perhaps all of us long to be-though beneath the surface, something dark and deep lingers.
This is a stunning story about life's choices: what happens when the whole world seems against you, and you're determined to prove your worth by conquering it all-but at what cost?
My heart aches for this young girl! It's absolutely worth watching!
