Frank Yablans who is featured in the film was the head of MGM/UA for a brief time after MGM had gone through a disastrous period had made a deal to distribute films by Cannon because they were looking for films to release which lasted until mid 1984 when Yablans discontinued the deal they made with Golan and Globus due to the duo not producing films of any great quality. Calling them "junk" at one point. Those films included Sahara, Bolero, Over The Brooklyn Bridge, Hercules, Revenge of the Ninja and Breakin' were among the films that they had distributed with Breakin' being the breakout hit and scoring some success with Hercules and Revenge of the Ninja.
