After experiencing what they think are a series of "break-ins", a family sets up security cameras around their home, only to realize that the events unfolding before them are more sinister than they seem.
A young woman returns to Tokyo, following a car accident that fractured both of her legs. While her brother Koichi provides hospitality for Haruka, weird noises and events transpire in the house - leading to a more horrifying truth.
The story takes place in 2011, five years after Katie killed her boyfriend Micah, sister Kristi, her husband Daniel; and took their baby, Hunter. Story focuses on Alex and her family experiencing weird stuff since the new neighbors moved in the town.Written by
Though it may seem like a novel concept, incorporating a laptop camera into "Paranormal Activity 4" played an important practical role in the filmmaking. "Anything can go on behind, and she wouldn't necessarily know unless the person on the other end of the video chat told her that it was behind her," Schulman said. "It just seemed like a really fun way to carry a camera and film yourself because otherwise there's no other way to shoot close-ups in a 'Paranormal' movie. Usually you're filming forward, so this way you can actually get a reaction shot." See more »
(at around 1 min) At the beginning when Katie takes Hunter away from her sister, you can see Katie's outline standing outside the doorway but she is still downstairs in the lounge room. See more »
what a waste of time and cash.. the movie was pointless. with no flow. no questions answered. just a waste. I never review movies but had to share how bad this was..compared to part 1- 2- and 3.... i don't know what else to say other than how misleading the commercial is.. the commercial was cut and spliced with video and audio that didn't even match what happened in the movie... you have been warned. when the movie was over.. people actually Boo'd. hopefully people will spread the word, and save others from throwing their money away. i know die-hard fans will go and give it a shot, but will be disappointed as well. Sinister was better and actually made you jump quite a few times.
