Plot

Seen through the eyes of Augustine, a young painter, "The Passionist" follows him on a once in a lifetime Italian adventure. His journey is suddenly halted by a violent Roman street brawl that leaves him wounded, both physically and emotionally. Returning home to America he struggles with a new found vision for his life, one that demands spiritual fulfillment. From the lush hillsides of Tuscany, to the abrasive avenues of Manhattan, "The Passionist" dares to capture the beauty of the human spirit at the moment of transformation.
