Storyline

When a neighbor's home gets broken into, Mike thinks his fists and a cabinet full of rifles are enough to keep a home intruder at bay. But Vanessa thinks otherwise and rallies the neighbors to start a Neighborhood Watch program. While Mike patrols the block, he gets wrapped up in some neighborhood gossip which gets him into hot water.

Mike asks Vanessa if she remembered the fifties regarding the bomb shelter. Since the actors are about the same age as their characters, Tim Allen who was born in 1953, was alive during the 1950s, however Nancy Travis was not born until 1961 so she never lived during the 1950's.

Tim likes to talk

This a fun episode from the first series of the recently cancelled 'Last Man Standing' that has just started being shown here in the UK.

What I like about this episode is that it allows Tim Allen to go off on riffs about certain things, and you wonder how much of this material was scripted and how much of it is lifted straight from Allen's stand up material.

This series won't be to everyone's taste, but this was an entertaining enough episode.
