Storyline

Literally willed into existence over 200 years ago, Sailor's Snug Harbor has long served as a port after stormy seas for thousands of sailors who would have otherwise been forgotten. Now a cultural center, the stories of those seamen and those who cared for them continue to live on. Rumors backed by eyewitness accounts suggest that more than just the stories have survived...some believe that the spirits of Snug Harbor's former residents - and even it's founder - still walk the grounds. Who is the mysterious Woman in White? How did the Matron really meet her end? For what reason was a reverend murdered on the steps of Main Hall? What is the enigmatic Captain Randall searching for? HAUNTED SNUG HARBOR examines some of these tales and shines a light on the history behind the hauntings. Written by BJC

Trivia

During the filming of the Matron's re-enactment scenes, a plastic chain was attached to a basement wall inside the Matron's House. The local rumors detail how the Matron kept her child chained in the basement during the day and he eventually escaped and murdered her. Several weeks later, the paranormal investigation show, "Ghost Hunters" filmed in the same basement and showed several shots of the plastic chain, still on the wall. See more »
