MPAA Rated PG for mild rude humor throughout

Sex & Nudity

  • None. (Unless, that is, you can somehow envision an egg-shaped cartoon principal in his tightie-whitie undies as something other than just silly.)
  • As the title character's name implies, Captain Underpants wears nothing but a red cape and underpants.
  • The main villain of the Film is named Professor Poopypants, based off toilet humor. During the climax, his full name is revealed to be Pee-Pee Diarheastein Poopypants.
  • This film contains the joke of the planet Uranus, which makes George and Harold laugh as it sounds like "your anus."
  • Professor Poopypants uses a giant toilet monster to terrorize the town.
  • One of Captain Underpants' ways of attacking is by slinging smaller pairs of underpants at his enemies.

Violence & Gore

  • Poopypants smashed Captain underpants but in the Flip o Rama, he kept getting smacked.
  • As Principal Krupp/Captain Underpants bounds off mindlessly into the world dressed only in a large pair of white underpants, plenty of thumping mayhem ensues.
  • He gets hit by passing vehicles on a couple of occasions.
  • He leaps off tall structures thinking he can fly. (He can't.)
  • He bounces around town on a giant ape balloon.
  • He falls out of the sky onto the backs of some running criminals.
  • He punches a mime in the face while trying to break him out of an invisible box.
  • He throws an old lady up into a tree after her cat.
  • That slapsticky violence is only amplified when a new school teacher named Professor Poopypants joins the rollicking nonsense.
  • The prof gets hit by passing vehicles, too.
  • He creates scientific mechanisms, such as a shrinking/growing ray, that cause all sorts of damage.
  • He also creates a gigantic animated toilet that's filled with and powered by toxic waste.
  • Captain Underpants is thrown into this toilet at one point and swallows some of that glowing sludge.
  • The prof shoots energy rays at school children, wiping their minds clear of thought.
  • A flood of smaller, enlivened toilets takes to the streets, biting backsides and gobbling people whole.
  • Goopy things explode, hitting people in the face with a gush.
  • Buildings are uprooted and smashed.
  • A vision of the future involves robots with lasers zapping people and each other.
  • As Captain Underpants first runs out into the streets, he is hit by a car (no harm done).
  • Captain Underpants punches a Mime in the nose, thinking he's trapped in "some invisible box like prison", hoping to set him free.
  • Captain Underpants battles a big purple gorilla balloon, which he thinks is a real monster. They get bounced around the town, and Captain Underpants only receives minor amounts of damage.
  • Professor Poopypants traps Captain Underpants in his Giant Toilet with Chemical Acid. He survives, and eventually breaks out with real Super Powers.
  • Professor Poopypants causes a lot of damage around the Neigbourhood with what he enlarges with his Shrink/Enlarging Ray, as well as with his Giant Toilet Monster.

  • Stupid, idiotic, jerk
  • At least 10 exclamations of "oh my gosh" and one of the phrase, "What the heck?"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In the carnival scene a few characters are seen being high on sugar.
  • Captain Underpants accidentally gulps down toxic waste water that gives him actual superpowers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • None
