    • Trivia
When John sees the Lancaster bomber, he has flashbacks to his time in combat. This is similar to what happened about 60 years earlier with Dana Andrews in The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) when he sat in a bomber. That film was also about military veterans from World War 2, albeit much closer in time to the subject matter.
