sloppy writing with a limited budget
24 July 2012 | by travis-936-772268See all my reviews

Alphas has changed, and unfortunately it is not for the better. My guess is that NBC/Universal cut the budget big time when it came to season 2, many of the action sequences where overly CGI driven, and poorly executed to the point of resembling a movie of the week. The overall tone of the show has also shifted from being a well timed character driven series to the more typical shock and awe effect, seen on many network shows. Alphas may have had a rough start in season 1 but overall it was a very well written and produced network show. I will not be watching season two, which is a large disappointment to me as I loved season 1.
