Willing to try anything to transform her life, Laura follows her best friend's suggestion and sets up a session with a life coach, who tells Laura to make 12 wishes for a positive change in her life. But before long, Laura realizes that her wishes are sparking unforeseen circumstances and she must act quickly to get her life back and her dog before Christmas.Written by
The previous reviewer summed it pretty adequately. I, too, wish I had those 2 hours back! We watch a LOT of Christmas movies and this might be one of the worst ones yet. For some reason, the title got changed, my feeling is a poor attempt to appeal to animal lovers, to "12 Wishes For My Dog." But the dog has very little to do with the story and the wishes are not really related to him. It would've made a better story if they were the dog's wishes!
The movie had a couple of decent actors (Fred Willard, Michael Gross), the story premise was interesting, and there were some nice Holiday shots, and the star was very sweet (but totally unbelievable), but the acting was just bad. The story had promise but failed to execute. If you want a warm and fuzzy feeling, watch the last 5 minutes and skip the rest of the movie.
