Emotional life story of adopted twins
5 April 2015 | by OJTSee all my reviews

59 Middle Lane is the address of which this story evolves. Two ten year old adopted twins are in the midst of a tragic love triangle, which ends in their adoptive father being killed by thief adoptive mother's new lover. He is imprisoned and she dies of cancer two years later. Happily the kids have a good upbringing by near relatives.

Now the twins are sound and well and 20, and needs to know more about their Ukranian background. The film tells the story of them going back, learning to know their mother had drinking problems and more kids. They go back to their roots, starting off with the orphanage.

At best the film is very emotional. The film is built up in exciting storytelling, though it troubles a bit in telling where it will go in the first part. But if you are along on the trip, you'll be rewarded. With a better dramatization, the film could have been more exciting to watch. However, the twins are both charming and open, and to follow their literary going back to their roots is exciting, when the film comes to that point. From there on, the film is pacing up on the emotional level, and makes up for the healthy start.

This documentary, though having a tragic background, shows the strength of both family bonding as well as human heart in a world which have some of it all. There might be happiness and joy in the midst of tragedies.
