Storyline

The Dowdens are a typical, hardworking and close-knit family of modest means living in Shreveport, La. After discovering their home sits on the fourth largest deposit of natural gas in the U.S., the Dowdens struck it rich and are now ready to experience the finer things that life has to offer. Led by patriarch, Gerald, and matriarch, Kitten, the 30-minute, 10-episode series follows the family as they experience the perks of belonging to a new tax bracket - from joining country clubs and hiring personal trainers, to traveling to places they never imagined they'd go. Rich Southern People??
26 January 2013 | by jf_1994See all my reviews

I will never understand why television has continued to spiral downward and network execs continue to astound me with their overall horrible ideas for new shows. This brings me to the show Bayou Billionaires, why do people want to watch a show about southern billionaires that they have never heard of, who might i add are making even more money through the show. I mean its not like they chose a interesting billionaire like Bill Gates or Warren Buffett instead they choose nobody's in the state of Lousiana. I'm sorry but unless you are from Louisiana the majority of us do not know or care about these billionaires. My final point is that television programming has to go back to the days when the shows weren't solely reality based.
