There is a bond between men who have been in the trenches together that transcends time, space, life and death. Family is in a state of constant flux in times of war. Those who you leave behind and those you serve with, live with and die with can be found in a strangers face at the strangest times. Dax, Trevor and Barlow cross paths manifesting feelings of family-War blurs the definition of family in many ways. Barlow's destiny becomes intertwined with two special forces officers who return home unexpectedly after a mission ends tragically in Afghanistan. Major Dax Russell is happy to be home but is struggling with his emotions over recent events and realizes the need to mentally decompress before entering his civilian, family life. After seeing Barlow in a busy intersection, Dax recognizes him from strange dreams he's been having since his return.
