Sex & Nudity

  • There is one very bold scene where a girl is fully naked as she gets into a bathtub on a rooftop. We can see her shaved pubic region. She later runs and escapes with a man and she is still fully naked, showing her genital area
  • There's at least 1 or 2 sex scenes in each season. Some with breast shown although fairly brief. Around 5/6 sex scenes in the show.
  • The show has some explicit nudity that is shown throughout some scenes, such as bare breasts and buttocks. Male genitalia and pubic regions are seen briefly in some scenes.
  • Some implied sex scenes and kissing.
  • Prostitution, sex slavery and human trafficking are implied heavily in one episode.
  • Two nude women are seen kissing with bare breasts exposed.
  • Genny's girlfriend in season one's breasts are exposed throughout a scene.
  • A transgender woman is in a scene with her sisters boyfriend, putting his hands on her bare breasts.
  • Men ridicule a woman for being transgender. It's implied she has a sexual relationship with the boss of the man heckling her.
  • It's mentioned a woman is having an affair on her husband.
  • A scene takes place in a strip club with nudity.
  • Some episodes feature female full-frontal nudity and simulated sex. Complex issues such as human trafficking and sexual abuse are also plot points at times.

Violence & Gore

  • A lot of people are getting shot and there's a lot of gang violence
  • The show contains constant brutal violence however it's mostly in short burst and doesn't linger on details.
  • A young man is shot in the face by a man offering protection.
  • A young man is manipulated into killing an important man. We see this happen.
  • A young handicapped boy witnesses his dad being shot Infront of him.
  • A man tries to kill Ciro and shoots the wrong man and throws a grenade into the café. It goes off but Ciro survives and is nicknamed the Immortal after it by his peers.
  • Don Pietro beats a man to death after suspecting him of being a rat.
  • We see prison violence in one episode, men being stabbed and sliced with knifes and razor blades.
  • A man is set on fire and men come and put it out.
  • Genny's father in law Giuseppe and his men beat Genny several time, he ends up with a bruised and bloodied face.
  • The violence is realistic, brutal and raw but typically quick and brief and comes out of nowhere. The violence is never lingered on outside of a few gruesome images.
  • Violence, especially gun violence, is prevalent throughout. Depicts mass shootings, arson, beatings, stabbings, and bombings.
  • Some episodes feature female full-frontal nudity and simulated sex. Complex issues such as human trafficking and sexual abuse are also plot points at times.

Profanity

  • Fuck is said often throughout every episode.
  • Profanity is used throughout and includes "f--k," "s--t," "bitch," "a--hole," etc.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The show revolves around drug dealers, all kinds of drugs are seen being made and sold.
  • A few scenes of explicit drug use such as people snorting cocaine and using other substances. However they're very brief and very infrequent.
  • Characters frequently smoke cigarettes and we also see some social drinking.
  • Characters smoke and drink alcohol. Drug sales and drug use are major parts of the show, and characters are seen selling and using cocaine and other hard drugs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The show is a very bleak and grim look at the criminal life style and has constant tension and violence. Main characters are frequently killed off in shocking and upsetting ways and characters are often in danger due to their choices and lifestyle
  • Tension is always ramping up with every episode, the last few episodes of each season are incredibly intense.
  • We see how gang culture and crime affect some of the life's outside of the criminal underworld. Focusing on young people being brought into the world of organised crime and often ending in tragic results.

Violence & Gore

  • Ciro's daughter is shot offscreen by one of Don Pietro's men.
  • Ciro kills Don Pietro by shooting him in the face.
  • Ciro orders a hit on Don Pietro's wife and she is shot in a drive by.
  • Genny kills Ciro at the end of season 3 by shooting him in the stomach.
  • Shootout happens at the end of the first episode and Ciro's friend/father figure is shot dead. This scene is emotional.
  • Don Salvatore's throat is sliced he lays on the floor drenched in blood dying.
  • Gennaro orders a man to chop another man up with a machete.
  • Ciro kills his own wife by strangling her to death.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Ciro is forced into Russian roulette in order to make a deal with the Russians, this scene is very intense.
