Storyline

James cheerfully profits from his popularity by launching his own, butt-flattering jeans line, even though it's hell on his literally crushed manhood. His manager Luther refuses further credit as long as Chloe hasn't read his script, and rent is due. Just when June despairs, praise for her home made jam inspires selling a batch of it. Chloe helps her, but actually sells Eli secret camera footage for a fetish website, without factoring in that only pays off after 50 days and his day job is food inspector. June finds out, but Chloe sees no reason to apologetic, on the contrary. Affluent nurse Robin offers June a lucrative alternative. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Chloe: [the key turns in the lock, she enters the apartment, obviously out of breath after having taken a run] Oh! Fat cabbie can run! Pretty sure he had a heart attack, though. So...
[prancing merrily]
Chloe: I just got a free ride home!
June Colburn: [sitting glumly at the table] There are no free rides.
Chloe: Oh, right, I forgot. You're probably gonna judge me.

no-one can resist this hot, hot jam

Another winning episode from the series that now ranks as one of my all-time favorites. It is now up there with CALIFORNICATION, which it reminds me of, not that you should get the wrong idea, they are worlds apart, but the quirky dialogue... It's a feast of punchlines, the one naughtier than the other, nothing crass, but quite advanced. Always hilarious. This is THE comedy show, people

In this episode: Chloe still tries to lure in unsuspecting victims for her rent scheme, James hits it Beek With his own line of crotch-gripping jeans, and June-bug ends up on a fetish site making strawberry jam. You cannot ask for more fun.

They're all in their zone. Wow. That's all I can say. Krysten Ritter is awesome, simply AWESOME, as the self-centered Chloe, and Dreama Walker, the cutest nerd on the planet, is the perfect foil. And I don't often comment on guys, but James Van Der Beek is just the most fun to watch in the uproarious send-up of himself.

Heartily recommended. Not for prudes. Very mature in style, although some of the risky content might fly over the heads of the average viewer. Unmissable. Series should not have been cancelled so soon. TV network execs are profit-orientated fools who cannot recognize quality.

A gem!
