Storyline

Montréal, 1959. In the classroom of Sister Cecilia, Leonie (aged 11) first met Father Malachy, a young Dominican father who has come to visit his school. It is love at first sight for this lonely and dreamy child who took refuge in religion to escape a mother who is emotional and too worried. But there is also love at first sight between Sister Cecilia and Father Malachy. Between human love and the love of God, which will prevail? Written by Métropole Films Distribution

This film deserves more than just 5...!
19 February 2012 | by robert-1717See all my reviews

I watched this film yesterday but rated it here only this morning.

I am very surprised to find out about its rating average of just a little bit above 5.

I realize the topic itself is not new, but it is a well done movie. It contains beautiful images. It is well played my most comedians.

The little girl in the story adds an interesting angle to this kind of story. A nice touch is also the fact that you can too "visualize" beliefs which are normally intangibles.

I will not reveal the end of course. But I must say that I liked it a lot. It is kind of closing the loop on the first part of the movie.

I recommend it :)
