Chuck

Sommari

  • Chuck worries Morgan is letting the Intersect change his attitude for the worse. Sarah gives Casey relationship advice on Gertrude Verbanski. Captain Awesome discovers shocking news about Jeff and Lester.

Descrizione

  • Casey (Adam Baldwin) has the target in sight. Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) gives him directions from the surveillance van. And the target is acquired...

Casey intercepted Gertrude Verbanski (Carrie-Anne Moss) to see where she was going out to dinner, even giving her the suggestion of a sushi bar one block away. She couldn't believe it; it was her favorite restaurant. It was almost as if Casey knew already. Of course, Casey being Casey, he fumbles about trying to ask her out on a date, despite the fact Verbanski just asked him out to dinner (and Sarah TOLD HIM in his earpiece Verbanski just asked him out to dinner). But he thought it would be easier to plant a camera on Verbanski to find out everything he could about her. Because nobody ever goes on a date to find out about someone. Meanwhile, Chuck (Zachary Levi) meets with an old friend. Well, an old boss, anyway. Beckman (Bonita Friedericy) gives Carmichael Industries a job off the books. Mats Zorn is a billionaire with a whistleblower website which is ten levels nastier than Wikileaks and posted top secret CIA files on it. He is constantly in flight except to fuel, and Beckman wants Team Carmichael to catch him when he fuels in L.A. Most importantly, her name is not to be brought up.

MORGAN: Yo, Becky! What up, baby girl? You're looking good! You've been doing pilates! Don't say you haven't!

Oh, Morgan's (Joshua Gomez) attitude about having the Intersect is growing steadily worse. Chuck tries to tell him having the Intersect doesn't mean he has to advertise it, but Morgan is regressing into 7th grade Morgan, which apparently is not a good thing Chuck wasn't the only one to notice. Morgan blew off a date with Alex (Mekenna Melvin). She was worried he was cheating on her. Chuck promised to talk some sense into him, and he asks Sarah and Casey for help. However, Casey was occupied with reading what Verbanski was reading, which was the job offer Morgan passed back to her. He lied to Chuck about where he was going and negotiated his way into Verbanski providing him with a personal assistant. Chuck, Sarah, and Casey were upset, to say the least.

While Awesome (Ryan McPartlin) takes care of Clara by himself (and is shocked to learn Clara Time goes MUCH slower than normal time...true story), Morgan mono-racers (mono-races? Some cool toy) into the Buy More to give his three-week notice on a letter backdated three weeks. He has frosted hair and is wearing lifts. ("They're orthotics, OK? Tom Cruise uses them.") Chuck is livid. Sarah and Casey are even more upset waiting in Morgan's office. They can't get through to him either. Morgan all but dares Casey to try and stop him. He didn't, but he insisted Morgan wasn't going to date his daughter. Morgan agreed, dumping Alex with a text message. Casey delivers the bad news to Alex. She's heartbroken. Casey's more than happy to kill him for her, but like everybody else, she wants the old Morgan back.

Chuck and Sarah discuss the same thing in Castle. Morgan was like this in 7th grade when he grew a mustache. ("He was like a miniature .") But then, Meredith Lester showed up and pantsed him in gym class in front of everybody. They were friends again by the end of the day. Chuck had a similar idea for dealing with him now. No, not drop his pants. They were going to finish Beckman's mission without Morgan, one-up Verbanski, and prove to Morgan he isn't the "cock of the walk" like he thinks he is...only Morgan took the Zorn files.

    CHUCK: Morgan just pantsed us!

Devon decides to help speed Clara Time along by buying a new juicer at the Buy More. He gets there just in time to pull Jeff (Scott Krinsky) out of the repair bay, as Jeff left his van running inside with no ventilation and was trying to get some sleep. The fumes were getting to Lester (Vik Sahay) as well, as he got really weird while watching Clara. Devon, with a long week of Clara Time ahead of him, insists Jeff come in for a checkup to make sure he didn't have any (or much) brain damage.

Chuck, Sarah, and Casey head to Verbanski Industries to get back the drive containing the Zorn files before more CIA agents are exposed and they lose the money for capturing Zorn. Getting payback against Morgan and Verbanski was the last thing on anybody's minds. (Yeah, right.) Casey decides to infiltrate Verbanski's office...at Sarah's suggestion since Verbanski seems to have a thing for Casey. Casey finds the safe containing the Zorn files, but Verbanski and Morgan were on their way. Casey makes it out, but Chuck was caught by one of the guards. However, he was only taking Chuck to his training class, since he was wearing a blue team armband. (FYI, Sarah was wearing red and Casey had yellow) Verbanski took a look around the empty office before sending Morgan on his way.

VERBANSKI: is that a zip drive in your pocket or are you just excited to see me?

CASEY: I'm here because you stole our mission...and our moron.

Verbanski thinks Casey was after her to ask her out, but Casey claimed he didn't date thieves. She gets him an armbar and tosses him into the wall, taking the drive in the process. He pivots and turns and does the same to her. Yes, this is foreplay. Meanwhile, Chuck tries to hide out from the instructor behind head gear, whom I'm sure you know by now is Morgan. Morgan who is Intersecting all opponents. Casey finally gets Gertrude right where she wants him...only Casey isn't nearly as horny and leaves her handcuffed to the wall. ("Get over yourself, Verbanski.") Morgan is down to his last opponent: Chuck.

MORGAN: (trades a few moves with Chuck) Your master has taught you well.

CHUCK: (removes his headgear) I **AM** the master.

Morgan is surprised. Chuck only wants the zip drive and Gollum can do whatever the hell he wants with the Intersect. Morgan claims he was a better spy than Chuck ever was. Chuck tries to give him a chance to take that back because they're friends. Morgan decides they're not. Morgan demands Sarah and Casey hand over the drive. They aim tranq guns at him. And since Carrie-Anne Moss is in this episode, you know they had to have a moment where he ducks them. Morgan browbeats them for even trying. Chuck takes the opportunity to pants Morgan. He turns around, giving Sarah a chance to land one right on his ass. Chuck doesn't even bother catching him as he falls.

Back at Castle, they figure out Zorn had an office meeting and would be leaving by helicopter from the roof. They decide that's where to grab Zorn. Sarah has more concerns. She wanted to know what was Casey doing messing around with Verbanski in her office, and she asked Chuck if Morgan's behavior was more than just him being 7th grade Morgan. Neither of them were willing to entertain those ideas. But that's better than Devon trying to give Jeff an examination. Short-term memory loss, trouble focusing, and Devon wonders if Jeff has problems doing his job. (He'll put that one down as a yes.) He writes a prescription for Jeff, which Jeff happily accepts. The prescription is for Jeff to stop sleeping in his van.

Sarah talks to Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) about Morgan because she thinks Morgan is losing himself in the Intersect. Ellie suspects someone in the CIA might have altered it from Dad's original. Ellie thinks if Sarah can get Morgan to remember things that happened before he got Intersected, it might be a bridge to get Morgan back to where he was. Sarah calls Beckman, who is shocked Morgan is the Intersect. Sarah explains about the Intersect glasses Beckman sent...only Beckman never sent them. Sarah runs back to Castle to tell the guys. They figure out Decker or someone in the CIA originally sent the glasses to destroy Chuck...only Morgan put the glasses on first.

They head to the Marriott, where Zorn's helicopter is about to land, planning to subdue the flight crew before Morgan and Verbanski got there. Only Verbanski and Morgan were on that flight crew. They had the same idea. Chuck pops out to talk to Morgan to convince him the Intersect was a Trojan horse. Of course, Chuck pantsed and tranqued Morgan earlier, so he wasn't in much of a talking mood. It was too late anyway, as Zorn emerged on the roof with four guards. Both teams take out the guards, but both Sarah and Verbanski try to take Zorn. And the fight is on. While Casey takes out Verbanski's team, Chuck tells Morgan he isn't acting like himself, but Morgan was glad to not be acting like himself. It gets worse. Zorn gets into the helicopter and Morgan fires at it, puncturing the gas tank. He threatens to fire at the leaking gas and blow everybody up, including his own boss and former friends. Chuck begs him to put the gun down because he wasn't a killer. Morgan thinks he is. Sarah reminds him of being pantsed by Meredith Lester in the 7th grade. Morgan wonders why the hell he should remember that.

CHUCK: Because then you'd remember how we got back at her. I helped you. I was your best friend. I helped you get back at the queen of the 8th grade. Rember how?

MORGAN: Yeah, we stole her ham sandwich and put something in it. Did we spice it up? I can remember seeing it. It was like a cockroach leg...MY MUSTACHE!

Morgan finally snaps out of it and tells Verbanski he can't work for her anymore. But the gas reached the landing lights and caused an explosion knocking Verbanski and Morgan out. Chuck and Casey race through the fire to get them just before the helicopter explodes. Verbanski knew Casey was into her. He shuts her up with a kiss.

MORGAN: Thanks for pantsing me, Chuck.

    CHUCK: Anytime, buddy.

Back home, Casey takes Verbanski out on their first date. (Yes, to a gun range.) Carmichael Industries now has $2.1 million in taxpayer money. Jeff walks into the Buy More standing tall, well-groomed, happy, and focused. (AAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!) He won't even give Lester money to tazer Fernando in the 'nads. ("I will not be party to the reckless endangerment of a co-worker. And, if I might add, a friend.") He even had quinoa salad for lunch! But it was thanks to Awesome, who checked Morgan out as well. He wanted the Intersect out if he was going to act the way he did, but he was worried about being a nobody again. Devon's advice: don't confuse a job with your life. True words, and Morgan goes to apologize to Casey and even more sorry about the way he behaved towards Alex. Casey accepts his apology, and still kicks him out of the apartment. Chuck and Sarah let him crash at their place.

Beckman called to meet with Chuck again, only it wasn't for a new contract. It was to show him a kill order written up by Decker...on Morgan. ("Get Morgan off the street...now. Protect him...protect your friend.") Only someone has already planted a bomb on Morgan's new bike.
