When David loses his loyal German shepherd Smokey, he feels all is lost... until Cadie, a dog with a rough past of her own. The two come together, with the help of God's power, to transform their lives in FOOTPRINTS.
Footprints is based on the true story of a man who finds the healing power of love only after he lost everything he had valued and given up. It is a true story of a dog who learned to trust and serve only after she'd been abused and then discarded as worthless. It is the true story of a journey the two of them took that neither knew would bring them together. But God did. Through His guidance, a man and a dog experience the transformation of being unwanted to becoming cherished. And in the process, they impact lives around them in ways only God could have imagined.Written by

I doubt that you will have ever heard of any of the cast members of this Christian film called Footprints. It has one unassailable thing going for it. Who can resist a good boy/man and his dog story?
The film is the story of how a man who had one crappy childhood, but manages to survive it and is helped a lot with him bonding with an abused and abandoned German Shepherd. This dog Kelly may not be as brave as Rin Tin Tin, but he's more lovable. And he gives the best performance in Footprints, better than the human thespians.
Pets can really be valuable to people. I'm a cat lover myself and always know that I have one friend in the world who will never betray me. A good film could be and probably has been made of the subject without the religious trappings.
As for Footprints, the direction is bad and the acting even worse. But if you loved Rin Tin Tin, this could be your movie Christian or not.
