Throughout the seasons episodes strong language is used in exclamation and insult. Strong derogatory terms including the use of the word "cunt" towards a young lady. Joan uses the f-word a lot and the men use a lot of bad language frequently. The mean spirited shade is present and legendary.

The main characters smoke quite frequently. People smoke nearly every time they arent speaking, drinking is also near constant and drug use is implied.

There is constant threat and tension between the main characters.
