This was a fun indie film that stylistically nails the film noir roots from which it sprang. From the acting and dialog to the look of the film itself, the cast and crew managed to pull off a pitch perfect short that could have been pulled directly from the era it's modeled after. Great job!
As an indie writer and director, I am blown away by the dedication it had to have taken to create this noir world in our modern times when that element of our society (the modern techy age we are steeped in) tends to find ways to bleed through on a lot of sets and projects. The immersion afforded to the viewer by the perfect construction of the world portrayed in the film, is so absolutely on point, that again, it feels like you have stepped back into a completely different time. When the men were men, and the ladies were dames!
