Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.
After a humiliating command performance at The Kennedy Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.
When her brother decides to ditch for a couple weeks, Viola heads over to his elite boarding school, disguised as him, and proceeds to fall for his school's star soccer player, and soon learns she's not the only one with romantic troubles.
The Barden Bellas are a collegiate, all-girls a cappella singing group thriving on female pop songs and their perfect looks. After a disastrous failing at last year's finals, they are forced to regroup. Among the new recruits is freshman Beca, an independent, aspiring DJ with no interest in the college life. But after she meets Jesse, from the rival all-male a cappella group, Beca has a new outlook and takes it upon herself to help the Bellas find their new look and sound and get back into the competition.Written by

When Beca is lying back in the park with her headphones on, she has the one labelled "R" over her left ear. A music nut like Beca would never wear headphones with the channels reversed. (On this model headphone the cord extends from the left side and the filmmakers likely didn't want the cord in the shot.) See more »

Well, I didn't plan to watch this movie, just trying to kill the time. start to watch, there is something different and i just knew that i am gonna like this movie. well, i was wrong actually, i don't like this movie, but i love it. it is extremely fun, hilarious, entertaining. Love to see Anna Kendrick, i love her in this movie. but who watch this movie would be agreed with me that the scene stealer is Fat Amy. she is aca-awesome. "at least it's not herpes! or do you have that as well?" i love that line... very funny... also "before or after 2" always laughing to see that scene... would be great if they make more mash-up song... and show how talented Becca is...
