This series had a good pilot and then settled into a whole lot of characters chasing their tails around as we patiently wait for something to actually happen. I can't believe we're already near the season's end and Juliette still hasn't found out what was on the hard drive after wasting so much time on dead end plot threads. What exactly was the purpose of the Pez dispenser, anyway?
Juliette's family backstory just confirms what we already know, the Silo is repressive and imposes incomprehensible, restrictive rules on people and ruins their lives and everyone is cowed because they don't know any better. What's the point of repeating what we already know. Get the plot moving already!

It started off slow ( a little ) but it keeps getting better with every episode the 8th episode is some of the best TV I've watched this year. The dialogue is crisp and at no point do you feel like it's there as filler just to fill up the space. The Acting is immaculate from every cast member and Rebecca Ferguson and Ian Glein stand out in this episode.
It's unpredictable in a good way, the way that lets you wonder instead of having one stupid McGuffin carry the entire show, the way most fantasy shows are written these days.
My first review on IMDB and this episode made me take the plunge because I felt the need to appreciate great content and let others know about it instead of just criticising the really awful ones.
Glad the show is picked up for another season!

Like seriously, this episode is peak performance, I am so happy they announced Season 2 because I want to see more Rebecca Ferguson, she is a legend, and without her screenplay this show wouldn't be nearly as good imo. The emotions on her face, the anger, the sadness, she fits everything and altough I loved Holston too, I am so happy that Juliette became the MC instead of him. This episode felt so short, probably the shortest episode in the entire series so far, we did not find out much, but what we did was worth it. The last two episodes really seem like they can go so many different ways, it can be either an action-packed closure or a truth-uncovering ending, either way we will definetely going to have a cliff-hanger looking at the EP10 title. People who do not like this show are just ungrateful or have really high-expectations. It's been a while since we got a TV-show this high quality in both visuals, and acting. The story is slow at times but the speculations is what make the Silo so good and not the instant-reveal for everything. I was affraid they going to give out so much in the first two episodes but the rest of the episodes showed that what's outside isn't that important, it's way more interesting what's going inside. I can't wait for the final episodes, tbh I would be more happy if the final two would be double just like the beginning, it would hit harder for sure.
Another great episode, expanding upon last week's momentum. The several weeks of slow (but still enjoyable) episode are finally coming to a head. Scared my wife when I yelled No! At the very end, as the episode ends on a nerve-wracking cliffhanger, even topping last week's similar ending. I wanted more, can't wait for next week!
I rated this a 9 out 10, only because I believe we are coming up to an episode or two that will top even this, and I wanted to leave room to rate an even better episode.
One final thought...I can't be the only one that wondered for a moment there if an army of rabbits were going to come save the day. LOL.

This show has a great hook and the first few episodes are brilliant and set up a new exciting and interesting world and characters you want to get to know and learn how they navigate this world.
However, since episode 4 things have dropped off and the show has become quite predictable and is barely scratching the surface of what I'm really interested in about this world. The last episode and this one pick up considerably which is good, but pacing is just one of the problems with this season. To me it seems like they are putting most of the focus on the least interesting aspects of the Silo and what it means for the world outside
In addition, the character of Juliette is just not a solid main character. She's kind of obnoxious and unsympathetic, so centering the story around her was a mistake in my opinion. And making her the sheriff has reduced huge chunks of the show to a police procedural which is shortchanging the possibilities of this show and displays a lack of confidence in the writer's room
I will finish out the season but it just seems like overall this is a missed opportunity to have a truly unique and original show. It has all the right ingredients to become a great show, but it's just not there. I keep watching because I think it can get there, but it's going to need an overhaul in the writing process.
