Two eager and naive film makers attend their first film festival. Along the way they get lost, drink a lot of beer and meet odd characters in the real world as well as the world of film. The Directo constantly quotes a book about George Lucas his hero. A strange , funny journey into the world of low budget film making about film makers with lots of ambition but no real knowledge. Humourous.

Road to Yorkton was shot while the film makers Francis Damberger and Lars Lehman were attending their first film fest with the film On The Edge. They made the film during a blizzard which struck Yorkton during the film fest. The Road To Yorkton then premiered at the same festival the following spring. The response was absolutely resounding. It is perhaps one of the most early examples of the now common "mocu-mentary" genre. See more
