Another odd and enjoyable short film!
22 March 2012 | by katiecarmanSee all my reviews

Tonjia Atmoic is certainly establishing a specific mood & style within her films, and "Awesome Ouija Board" is no different. Hearkening back to the silent films of the 1920s, "Awesome Oujia Board" tells the story of two ladies seeking advice, only to become linked to the Oujia Board in an unexpected way.

I really enjoy the stories, styling and use of creative shots in Tonjia's films -- at first they appear very traditional, but through the course of the film there are great and interesting shots and perspectives that are interjected in unexpected ways. And of course the stories themselves are dark, creepy and deeply enjoyable!

You never quite know what twists her films may hold, which makes watching them a treat for viewers who become more and more enthralled as the story unravels.
