The player creates the protagonist and a main party member ("pawn"), both fully customizable in gender, voice, class and appearance. If the game is connected to the Internet, the player can "hire" two other pawns, created by other players, to support the party during quests, and also allow his own custom pawn to be available to other players online (without losing the pawn for himself).
