The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
is a movie starring
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.
Katniss Everdeen is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.
As the war of Panem escalates to the destruction of other districts, Katniss Everdeen, the reluctant leader of the rebellion, must bring together an army against President Snow, while all she holds dear hangs in the balance.
Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games: a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death.
In a world divided by factions based on virtues, Tris learns she's Divergent and won't fit in. When she discovers a plot to destroy Divergents, Tris and the mysterious Four must find out what makes Divergents dangerous before it's too late.
With the Games destroyed, Katniss Everdeen, along with Gale, Finnick and Beetee, end up in the so thought "destroyed" District 13. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her friends, Katniss becomes the "Mockingjay", the symbol of rebellion for the districts of Panem.Written by
Jennifer Lawrence was not merely reluctant to sing in this movie; she was terrified to do so. 'The Hanging Tree' song was the first scene shot for this film and it took director Francis Lawrence and several other cast members to calm her down and convince her she could do it. See more »
At one point, Katniss and Gale are shooting down aircraft with explosive arrows. Gale is standing on Katniss' left. Later in the movie, the moment of Katniss shooting down a plane is shown in one of the 'propo's', and seems to be filmed from her right. However, Gale (who from this point of view should be just behind Katniss) is nowhere to be seen. It's also unclear how this scene made the propo because no one from the film crew (Castor and Pollux) was present at the moment Katniss and Gale shot down the planes, so there was no one to film it. Start simple. Start with that you know is true. My name is Katniss Everdeen. My home is District 12. I was in the Hunger Games. I escaped. Peeta... Peeta was left behind.

After the last scene, the first Hunger Games logo, followed by the Catching Fire and Mockingjay - Part 1 logos, lead to the bird breaking out of the ring showing the Part 2 logo. The screen goes black, we hear the whistle, and the credits roll. See more »
I have to admit that probably never looked more boring blockbuster of this. Stretched to the pain, the enforced acting, empty dialogues, in two hours absolutely nothing worth mentioning, aside from the great James Howard's song sung by Jennifer Lawrence (The Hanging Tree). Unfortunately, I was expecting a lot more after the first two episodes, although we all should be clear when they changed the original decision to extend the trilogy in four parts. The horror of this desperately poor screenplay could not be mended nor sound actors. Hollywood seems to run out of steam... This garbage was never meant to be taken and company should pay back the money to people and even compensate them for mental anguish and lost time watching this disaster. Big thumb down! (and ready rotten tomatoes)
