Meghan Markle’s Sister Says Romance with Prince Harry Is ‘About Love’ Not ‘Royalty’
Meghan Markle may be engaged to a prince, but his royal status has nothing to do with their love.

On Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, Samantha Markle — Meghan’s sister — opened up about her sibling’s engagement to Prince Harry, gushing that their relationship is “not about royalty.”

Speaking live from Florida, Samantha began the chat with Gmb hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid by describing Meghan. “As you can imagine, she’s very creative, charming, lovely, full of life, very vibrant, and she’s never changed,” Samantha said. “She’s just so sweet and charming. I’ve seen that so much in her recently.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Giggle and Goof Off Behind-the-Scenes of Engagement Interview

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Giggle and Goof Off Behind-the-Scenes of Engagement Interview
Prince Harry is still the fun-loving royal, and it appears that he’s found his match in new bride-to-be Meghan Markle.

An unaired clip from the couple’s joint engagement interview on Monday released by BBC showed them joking around with people off-camera after their interview had wrapped.

At one point, the duo laugh and mimic the same silly pose while sitting side-by-side, with Markle never letting go of Harry’s hand.

When Harry, 32, appears to be telling a story, the 36-year-old actress jokingly rests her head on her hand while gazing up at her fiancé, then visibly cracking up.

In their first joint interview since announcing their royal engagement, the couple was asked if they have plans to start having a family soon.

“Not currently, no,” the royal said, as his fiancée laughed at his response.

“Of course, one step at a time and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future,” Harry added.

Fans of the Prince have come to know him as a bit of a baby whisperer as he

Why Seeing Prince Harry Hold Hands with Meghan Markle Is Such a Big Deal
After over a year of dating, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent fans speculating that an engagement could be on the horizon when they were spotted holding hands at their first public outing as a couple.

On Monday, Harry and the Suits star walked hand-in-hand to watch the wheelchair tennis event at the prince’s Invictus Games in Toronto. The moment was a big deal to royal fans as members of the royal family (like Harry’s brother Prince William and Princess Kate) rarely show Pda, especially at official events.

So is this a sign that there’s an engagement announcement coming?

‘Rules Don’t Apply’ Actor Steve Coogan on the Magical Year of ‘Philomena’ – Awards Season Flashback

‘Rules Don’t Apply’ Actor Steve Coogan on the Magical Year of ‘Philomena’ – Awards Season Flashback
[Editor’s Note: This post is presented in partnership with Spectrum. Catch up on this year’s Awards Season contenders and the latest films On Demand. Today’s pick is “Rules Don’t Apply.”]

If it wasn’t already clear that Steve Coogan is an extraordinarily multi-talented man, along came “Philomena.” Perhaps known best as a comic actor in films like “In The Loop,” “The Trip” and “24 Hour Party People,” Coogan took a turn for the dramatic with “Philomena,” both in front of and behind the camera. As producer, writer and star, Coogan helped deliver one of the year’s most heartwarming — and heartbreaking — dramas, detailing the true story of a woman (Judi Dench) who is joined by a journalist (Coogan) to try to find the son who was taken from her 50 years earlier.

A story that easily could have been turned into an overly sentimental tearjerker is handled with a confidence and restraint in both Coogan’s words and performance, resulting in a film that has been winning over audiences and awards groups left and right.

When the film — notably directed by Stephen Frears

Burt Bacharach Writes From the Heart for ‘Po’ Score

Burt Bacharach Writes From the Heart for ‘Po’ Score
Legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach, now 88, has written the song and score for a little movie called “Po”: his first such efforts in 16 years.

The Oscar-winning composer of “Alfie,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “Arthur” has a special connection to the project.

Po” is about a single father raising a child with autism. Bacharach’s daughter Nikki, born in 1966, was not diagnosed until late in life with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism. She committed suicide in 2007.

“I loved this kid from the time she was born,” Bacharach told Variety.”We thought we were dealing with adolescent behavioral problems. Had I understood what it was, and what she was dealing with, if somebody had told me, I wish it could have been better,” he said.

How the Grammy-winning writer of such hits as “Walk on By,” “The Look of Love” and “What the World Needs Now Is

Newport Beach Film Fest Honors Revered Composer Burt Bacharach

Newport Beach Film Fest Honors Revered Composer Burt Bacharach
Burt Bacharach, who’s being honored at the Newport Beach Film Festival with its Legends Award, is a kind of anomaly in modern pop. With lyricist Hal David, the composer was responsible for more than 50 top 40 hits back in the day when Motown, the British Invasion and homegrown psychedelia all shared the same air space on the FM radio dial.

Bacharach was not exactly a frontman, despite his movie-star looks, and the Brill Building songwriting tradition from which he and David emerged was going out of vogue by the late ’60s. On the surface, their music — interpreted by the likes of Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones and Aretha Franklin — might’ve seemed square to the Flower Power generation. After all, David seemed to be channeling his inner desperate housewife on tunes like “Wives and Lovers” and “One Less Bell to Answer,” with narratives that likely made most feminists cringe

New footage from Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups

Ahead of its U.S. release this coming Friday, a new promo has arrived online for Terrence Malick’s latest, Knight of Cups; check it out here…

Rick (Christian Bale) is a slave to the Hollywood system. He is addicted to success but simultaneously despairs at the emptiness of his life. He is at home in a world of illusions but seeks real life. Like the tarot card of the title, Rick is easily bored and needs outside stimulation. But the Knight of Cups is also an artist, a romantic and an adventurer.

In Terrence Malick’s seventh film a gliding camera once again accompanies a tormented hero on his search for meaning. Once again a voiceover is laid over images which also seek their own authenticity. And once again Malick seems to put the world out of joint. His symphonic flow of images contrasts cold, functional architecture with the ageless beauty of nature.
