Trivia
Julie's and Stuart's story varies drastically from the first story in the book. Julie's parents have been arrested in a riot over Christmas village ornaments and Julie is sent to Florida to her grandparents but the train gets stuck in the snow. She goes to a Waffle House and meets Stuart whose car is stuck in the snow. He suggests they walk to his house. They fall into a frozen lake and he and his family make her feel welcome on Christmas day. In the film, Stuart is the one without a place to go on Christmas and he is a big star, also Julie's mom is sick.
