It is possible that only one per cent of the wonders of ancient Egypt have been discovered, but now, thanks to a pioneering approach to archaeology, that is about to change.
What an incredible breakthrough this is. What a terrible program this was. I think we had more minutes of car shots than we had of archaeology. If you like 4x4s then you'll probably love this program if, however, you like archaeology then this program is going to disappoint.
And why, oh why, do we have to have beautiful presenters that appeared to have been brought in purely for their looks and nothing to do with their knowledge of archaeology or Egyptology?
It's such a waste. The central subject of the program is the massive breakthrough that satellite image analysis has bought to the field of Egyptology and the program did at least make this clear. However, no sooner had it ventured anywhere near the actual archaeology than it swept away again and we were back with the 4x4s.
Worth watching just for the subject but shame about the program!
